Revision courses held at Godmersham are tutorial sessions designed to assist students with worked problems, past paper questions and practical skills in a taught environment in the period immediately prior to examinations. The sessions are often student led and actively involve students in selection of revision topics.

Each course will run for one day or one half day and sessions are all are held at ABDO College, Godmersham, Kent.

These revision courses are for any student preparing themselves for ABDO examinations especially those who are re-sitting or sitting their final attempt.

The revision courses are to supplement your revision programme and should be undertaken in addition to a thorough study of your coursework and practice with past paper questions. You will also need to undertake some additional research and read around the subject in order to gain a thorough understanding of the syllabus.

Although not an essential requirement for revision courses, it is preferable that you are gaining practical experience to support your learning and developing advanced practical skills in ophthalmic practice.

Yes, you will need to retain full membership for the duration of your course.

Yes, it is essential that you retain full, or student, registration as a trainee or practicing dispensing optician for the duration of your course.

There is no certificate awarded for completion of the revision course. Qualification will be achieved when you are successful in your ABDO examination.
