Background
This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with a vision-science related background to extend their scope and contribute to the development of the ophthalmic dispensing profession through involvement in higher education programme delivery.
We are looking for an Academic Link Tutor (Lecturer/Senior Lecturer) committed to higher education to join us working in collaboration with ABDO College to ensure smooth running of our Ophthalmic Dispensing programmes.
The Role
 
As Academic Link Tutor you will use your effective communication and organisational skills in liaising with University and ABDO College colleagues and external stakeholders to ensure students have an excellent learning experience.
You will use your knowledge and experience of best practice relevant to the Ophthalmic Dispensing field to enhance our education provision, and you will contribute to teaching delivery.
 
The Person 
 
You will have a sound understanding of the UK statutory and professional requirements for the pre-qualifying degree, high quality practice, knowledge and skills relevant to ophthalmic dispensing, and ideally have worked with students on placement or experience of working within higher education.  You will be committed to and ideally have experience in Higher Education.
