We take a blended learning approach, combining primarily online delivery with blocks of in-person teaching. Our in-person teaching primarily takes place at our first-class training facility in Kent. The College lies within 1,000 acres of beautiful Kent countryside situated between Ashford and Canterbury.
About the role
Reporting to the communications and engagement director, we are looking for a full-time communications and marketing manager to lead the communications and marketing function of the College. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing clear and effective campaigns and communications for different target channels that increase awareness of ABDO College’s purpose and academic reputation
- Developing and implementing student recruitment campaigns to deliver on recruitment targets
- Developing and implementing clear communications for our students, our employers and our key stakeholders
- Supporting the delivery of our strategic priorities, projects and programmes, providing best practice advice and examples in crafting and delivering communications
About you
You will be passionate about engaging and supporting students, with proven experience in similar roles in an education (HE or FE) setting. You will demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills, with a clear ability to have measurable impact at different stages of a student lifecycle. You will be equally comfortable engaging and working with key internal and external stakeholders. You will be organised and collaborative, bringing strong content creation skills and ability to use data to measure and improve impact.

Working pattern
This is a full-time, hybrid post. You will be primarily based at our Godmersham site for 3 days per week, with 2 days based at home, subject to role requirements. There is UK travel in this role to meet our stakeholders.
